Use the concepts embodied by The Black Panther as more than just a movie or comic for entertainment. In this session, participants will learn how to harness high-interest lower-ability material to frame discussions of race, technology, and colonization, all while imagining a better world in which to live. The Black Panther has connected to relevant issues such as fighting the KKK in the 1970s and debating the possibility of a female President in 2009. Participants will see a wide variety of topics that can be addressed through The Black Panther story, learn how to use Seesaw and Pearltrees as platforms for interaction, and witness students sharing their learning.
