Park-Based Learning - Using National Parks as Classrooms

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Students learn best when given control of their own learning. This is the main idea behind Park Based Learning, which uses national parks as classrooms. This approach to teaching utilizes experiential learning and exploration to build curiosity through field experience in natural, cultural, and historic landscapes. This isn't always a possibility for schools and classes due to distance, time, and money, so we have developed many resources to help connect teachers and their students virtually. Come to this session and learn about our brand of project based learning and how to use technology and geo-inquiry to inspire students.
