The Asian Penguins use Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) to create new learning opportunities for our students and close our school community's Digital Divide. The Asian Penguins, our school's award-winning technology club, learn to use Linux to recycle old computers. These computers are given to needy families FREE OF CHARGE to make sure all of our young scholars have working technology in their homes. The Asian Penguins have been the subject of over 30 news articles talking about how we used Open Source to change our school. Stop by and learn how you can change your school, too!

The Hub Club is a student group at Minnetonka Middle School East and West. The club is organized into modules that last about 4 weeks long. During this playground you will hear from and play with student creations in the areas of--Cardboard Creations, a module that allowed students to build their very own arcade game using at least 75% cardboard & Sphero Mini-Golf, where students designed a mini-golf hole and then used code to get their Sphero in the hole.
